Over the past few weeks me and my partner have been working on a project to upgrade the straps on the table from the first incarnation of polyester webbing to something more secure & institutional. Well in all regards, we have seceded. The result:

So what are these new straps, that in the words of my partner:

“Make the table look more like a lethal injection/execution table then a bondage table”

BioThane. 

BioThane is made by a company called BioPlastics, the material is made of a polyester webbing core (1000/lbs breaking force in this case) that is then coated in a very tough but soft to the skin rubber like material. The result, as you can see above is a down right amazing product. So why hasn’t anyone else made bondage gear from this stuff? Well, to put it simply, they have! A few years back Humane Restraints began replacing the old leather locking strap found on their restraints & locking buckles with a wine colored BioThane strap.
